DYEZU-EXPERIMENT!
大図実験とは、まだ豆腐屋さんがセブンイレブンに、お魚屋さんがきれいなビルに変わりファンシーな古着屋さんが入居する前の
中目黒銀座商店街に期限付きで好き勝手にやっていいよ！という物件に出逢ったカザマナオミと山本けいすけによって
２００１年にオープンしたギャラリー兼、作業スペース。
そこではまだブラックマーケット名義でデザイナーをやっていたオバマ大統領のHOPEポスターで一躍有名になったシェパードフェアリー
のショウを皮切りに、Kami, Sasu, Miyuki Pai Hirai, Yuri Shibuya, Madsaki,Diskah, そしてNYのバーンストマーズからはDavid Ellis,
Che Jen, Mike Ming, Chris Mendoza, Kiku Yamaguchi, ROSTARRといった面々の個展や、そこに集うアーティスト達での
グループショウや、１つの部屋、壁はもちろん、天井から床までをみんなでペイントしたり、
１つの壁を順番にひとりづつ描いて、それを順にビデオに収めたり、実験的な試みをやった場所。
しまいにはショウをやってようが、やってまいが、日々そこには沢山のアーティスト、自転車乗り、スケーター、DJs、
料理が得意な人、サーファー、ミュージシャン、写真家、近所の子供達、番長的な人、
そして海外からリアルな東京のアンダーグランドシーンを感じたい人々が集い、飲み、食べ、あーでもない、
こーでもないと語り合ったサロンになった知る人ぞ知る場所。
沢山の素晴らしい人間と共に目に見えない物を共有した場所。
だから今の自分があると言える場所。
カザマナオミ
Tokyo. On a sleepy shopping street in Nakameguro, just far enough from the noise and bullshit of Harajuku, is Dyezu Jikken. The name means “big picture experiment” and it’s an apt title.
Dyezu Jikken was founded four years ago by Tokyo designers/artists Naomi Kazama (SOUTH) and Keisuke Yamamoto as a place for underground artists to show, sell, and work. In the years since, the place has defied even the founders’ intents, becoming more than just a gallery/shop/workspace; it’s a living art piece, a time-capsule of creativity with a depth not often seen in this obsessed-with-new cultural and pop-cultural landscape.
Every surface in the building is covered. The interior walls bear the plywood-turned-canvas of previous shows—the colorful paintings of Mike Ming next to the black-and-grey-on-white from Che Jen and Kiku Yamaguchi next to white-on-black scratchboards by Chris Mendoza (EDEC) next to colorful surfboards by MADSAKI and West ONE.
There are photos from Daisuke Tanaka (Diskah) and Miyuki Hirai (Pai); paste-ups from SOUTH, the Faile Collective, London Police and Shepard Fairey; and millions of tags from anyone and everyone who has visited or shown: Os Gemenos from Brazil, José Parla (EASE) of the Inkheads, and Barnstormers, Yuri Shimojo, Romon Yang (RoStarr) and David Ellis (SKWERM).
Elsewhere are canvases, designs, and apparel from Dyezu’s local crew: Diskah, WHO and Roqn of OWN; WANTO, SECT, AWR, and MSK from TSL; DOPESAC; ZYSONE; ESOW from WOM; QP; EKYS, BNE, LPS; Barnstormers KAMI and Sasu; jewelry designer FOOCHAN; graphic designer Hilli; and of course, works by the founder, SOUTH.
Dyezu is one of those places that either everybody or nobody knows about, depending on who you’re talking to. As for what Dyezu actually is, well, it depends on what day it is, if the weather’s nice, and who’s in town.When you’re in Tokyo, you just go. You meet some folks and make something. Painters. Designers. Photographers. Skaters. DJs. Writers. Jewelry and clothing designers. You talk. Someone brings some drinks. Maybe the pots and pans come out and somebody makes dinner. It is where you live, in a way.
Dyezu has soul, and too few places in Tokyo, the manic mecca of what’s new, have soul. It’s in the layers of paint, the years of flyers and paste-ups on those walls. (English from THEME Magazine)

EXPERIMENTAL ART SURF SHOPとは：
２００１年、東京、中目黒の銀座商店街にあったギャラリー兼コミュニティーサロン的空間 - 大図実験 (DYEZU-EXPERIMENT!)。
その沢山のアーティストや表現者、ご近所さん、そして海外からの訪問者が出会い、交わった大図で行われた
Experimental Art Surf Shopの第二弾です。 大図が無くなってから今年で７年が経ちます。
縁が円を描き、またみんなでやります。大図をご存知の皆さんも、これが初めての皆さんも一緒に楽しみましょう！
Surfing, Skate, Snowboardingとはただ乗る行為だけではなく、旅をすること、現地の人々と出会う事、そして音楽やファッション等も含め、その一瞬(Moment)を求め、人間の唯一持つ、時間、労力を情熱を通じて費やし、時代と共に進化して来た
一言で表 すと"A WAY of LIFE"です。
その情熱いっぱいの乗り物とTOKYO, New York,そしてLAのアーティスト達の情熱がコラボレイト、
ボード上に表現をした作品、沢山のアート、本、グッズストア、などで表現をした実験的でユニークかつ大胆なグループショウがEASSです。ぜひこの最後かもしれない空前のアートショウに足をお運びください。

Back in 2001, There was the gallery and community salon called DYEZU-EXPERIMENT! on the street of Nakameguro, Tokyo.
The artists, Neighbors, and the visitors from overseas have met and had good time all together at DYZ.
It's been 7 years since DYZ- EXP! closed. and This E.A.S.S is the next level groupshow.
The circle has come, and we all get together again for this.

CHRISTIAN MENDOZA
ニカラグア出身、ニューヨーク在住。
母国であるニカラグアでの体験をベースに、ニューヨークとマイアミという２つの都市からインスパイアされた作品を創り続けている。
原始的かつ有機的であると同時に都会的なイメージを内包するメンドーサの作風は、自身のルーツである中米の民俗や
自然に寄り添いながら、都市の日常に見られる混沌や濃密さを強く打ち出している。
1980年代にニカラグアの内戦を逃れるために一家でニューヨーク・ブロンクスに移住。建築家の父から習った設計図面の書き方を
土台に、ニューヨークの地下鉄に書かれた文字やキャラクター、図形などグラフィティーからの刺激を取り込んで、
独自の世界観を発展させてきた。
若い頃に父を通じてマヤ文明、中米、インディアンの表意文字・線画・彫刻などに興味を持ち始め、
それをきっかけに世界の文字・色彩文化の探求を始めたメンドーサ。マッタ、カディンスキー、ミロ、フランク・ロイド・ライトといった美術家・建築家や20世紀の芸術運動にも大きな影響を受け、2000年以降はニューヨークを拠点にアーティスト活動を本格化させた。
中米民俗を象徴する鋭角的なシンボルと設計図面のような記述的な線画が、まるで都市のカオスと密度を表すように混然一体となり、
ある種の運動性やエネルギーを創出させている。これは初期ヒップホップのライブパフォーマンスとミックステープに見いだしていたものを視覚化するメンドーサの挑戦でもある。
Christian Mendoza is a New York City based artist from Nicaragua whose work draws from the experiences of his native country and the influences of New York City and Miami. Mendoza's style bridges the modern, primitive, and organic. He draws strongly on the nature and folklore of his homeland, while
interpreting the density and chaos of daily urban life.
In the 1980's his family moved to the Bronx, where Mendoza began to develop a style that combining architectural draftsmanship he learned from his father with the new inspirations of letters, faces, and forms that then covered the subways of New York City. At a young age, he learned drafting and about architecture from his father. This inspiration brought Mendoza to the study of Mayan, Central and Native American Cultures, hieroglyphs, petroglyphs, calligraphies, and alphabets from both ancient and modern cultures, which also inform his work. With great dedication he continued his study of world alphabets, color, and movement as well as the work of Matta, Kandinsky, Miro, and Frank Lloyd Wright. Mendoza returned to New York in 2000, where he now lives and works in a range of styles that culminate all the influences of his early development. Strongly rooted in architectural drawings, machines, and Central and North American Indian art, Mendoza has developed a unique language of spiky, angular symbols that blend the natural and mystical folklore of his childhood with the density and chaos of urban life. His paintings are grounded with descriptive line work that creates a sense of movement and energy. A visual manifestation of the sonic combinations found in early Hip-Hop mix tapes and performances emanate from his surfaces.

David Ellis
音楽一家で生まれ育ったアーティストのデイビッド・エリスは幼い頃からピアノのレッスンや楽譜を詠むことが苦手だったが、土曜の夜に近所のフォート・ブラッグ軍事基地から放送されていたラジオのThe Super Mixだけは別で、ラジオから流れる音楽のすべてを吸収していった。そのようにして、まだ新しかったニューヨークのヒップホップは毎週のように新しいカセットテープに録音され、ノースキャロライナのログハウスに住むキッズだったデイビットの生活の一部となっていった。
そして、Grandmaster FlashとFurious 5がMessageをリリースする頃には、デイビッドは自身でもライムを書いては友達と一緒になって学校の机を叩いていた。すでにこの頃から彼の周りが色々と騒がしくなってきていたのだ。
彼のアートワークは音楽と音を伝え続け、ペインティングも'モーションペインティング'と自ら呼び、コマ落しのアニメーションの形で記録されている。これらのアートワークはまるでジャズのように、共演者がいる場合は互いのアートワークをコラボレートし、ソロの時もその場で生み出されるアイデアをまとめあげる機会となっている。
また最近では日の出から日暮れまで連続5日間をかけて、トラックをペイントするというアートワークに取組んだ。この時の様子を記録したモーションペインティングの'Paint on Trucks in a World in Need of Love'はミュージシャン、パフォーマー、サウンドアーティストを招いて彼のアートワークの世界観を音で同時に伝えるとともに、MOMAにて展示公開された。
デイビッドは即興でアートをクリエートすることも多く、また屋外の壁などへのインタレーションでは、アートワークの出来上がっていく様子を一般の人々にシェアすることもあり、それはまるで通りすがりの人々にストリートライブで音楽を届けているかのようである。
そして今後もデイビッドはリズミカルでアナログなシークエンスで表現できる音と動きのあるアートワークを追求していく。
David Ellis is an artist born into a family immersed in music. In his youth Ellis had little patience with piano lessons or reading sheet music. Instead he absorbed everything on The Super Mix, a Saturday night radio program broadcast from the nearby Fort Bragg military base. Each week a new cassette tape of emerging New York hip-hop found its way into the life of a child growing up in a log house in North Carolina. By the time Grandmaster Flash and the Furious 5 released The Message, Ellis was writing rhymes and banging out beats with his friends on the desks at school. Things have since become much louder.
Ellis’ work continues to interpret music and sound. His paintings are often recorded in a form of digital time-lapse animation Ellis calls motion painting. Like jazz, these works provide Ellis with an opportunity to combine ideas with collaborators or work solo within a form that promotes improvisation and spontaneity. For a recent commission the artist painted a truck from sunup to sundown over five consecutive days. Ellis often stages events when exhibiting his motion paintings, inviting musicians, performers, and sound artists to interpret the work live. His motion painting, Paint on Trucks in a World in Need of Love was recently exhibited at MoMA.
Ellis’ paintings are frequently improvised. He works directly on the walls of spaces that remain open to the public during installation and shares the making of the work with viewers. The experience is much like a band playing in front of a passing audience.
Ellis further explores sound with kinetic installations that produce analogue sequences in rhythm.

13歳でスケートボードを始める。17歳で渡米。
グラフィティに出会い、2つのバックグラウンドからストリートと日本画が融合したようなユーモラスなキャラクターを描いている。
東京の下町を拠点として活動する「緑道會(RDK)」のメンバーで、その活動は、壁画からキャンバス、ウエアブランドと広範囲に及ぶ。

Inspirations from every day life are reflected on the curves, dissolving into the heart of the viewer.
The simple and fluid style is also a memoir of the landscape he discovered during his journey to pursue himself.

KENJI HIRATA
ケンジ・ヒラタが描くモチーフや色彩は、自然・音楽・東南アジアに見るハンドペイントの看板・フューチャリズム（未来派）から強く影響を受けている。
作品の軸となるテーマには、宇宙を内在させた一つの物語があり、そのイメージはペインティングやドローイング、映像作品を通して見ることができる。
アイコンやシンボルの群れは、それをまるで言語のように操るヒラタの手によって絡み合い、新しい文脈をまといながらアブストラクトで造形的な作品の中に漂う。ヒラタの作品は自由な思考とともにあり、鑑賞者たちの色あせない童心を刺激しながら未来に対して確かな方向性を提示する。
Kenji Hirata's artwork in form and color is strongly inspired by nature, music and hand painted signage of Southeast Asia and futurism.
The theme that runs through Hirata's body of work is a story he has created, in which an entire universe exists. His paintings, drawings, and films provide glimpses into this universe.
Hirata has developed a language of icons and symbols, which take on new meanings as they are combined and recombined throughout his abstract and figurative works.
Hirata creates his work for an open mind. He intends to speak to the childlike part of the viewer that is not jaded and can imagine the right direction for the future with a clear vision.

1980年に渡米し、25年間をニューヨークで過ごす. 80年代から90年代にかけてのニューヨークの街がもっとも活気に溢れた時期に、アート／ミュージック シーンの強い影響を受け、アーティストを志す. '96年にParsons School of Design, Fine Arts 卒業.
'04年、活動の拠点をニューヨークから東京に移す.
テーマ／コンセプトに基づいて作品を製作する為、彼の作風は個展を開催する度に変貌する. 敢えてスタイルを持たないことが彼のスタイルであり、哲学でもある.
倉石一樹氏と廣山直人(Orange Range / delofamilia)が率いるユニット "IsAndIsm" のギタリストとしても活動中.

He is a freelancing artist who works commercially and personally. He was born in NY and his family roots lie in Japan. Miyuki PAI HIRAI
平井 ペイ みゆき - 写真家 / 大阪生まれ。
１９９６年にニューヨークへ渡り、International Center of Photographyにて写真を学ぶ。
その後、アートコレクティブ "バーンストマーズ"、ストリートアート、ミュージシャン、そしてブルックリンのコミュニティーの
ドキュメンタリーフォトグラフを撮る。
２００１年に帰国後、Dyezu - Experiment!と出会う。
フリーランスのカメラマンとして働く傍ら、バイクメッセンジャーとしても活動をし、メッセンジャーのドキュメントも撮っている。
ヴィジョンと前向きな気持ちを持つ人々をこよなく愛し、その気持ちを写し続けている。
Born and raised in osaka. Miyuki Hirai moved to New York in 1996 where she studied at ICP(International Center Of Photography).
Miyuki is a member of the artist collective, the "Barnstormers." She has been documenting the crew, street art, musicians, and Brooklyn communities. Moved back to Tokyo in 2001 and joined a gallery called Dyezu-Experiment!.
While working as a freelance photographer, she has also worked as a bicycle messenger and started documenting the messengers. Miyuki loves documenting people who have vision and a positive state of mind.

Naomi KAZAMA
カザマナオミ - アーティスト / 鎌倉生まれ。
カザマナオミの創り出すアートは、美を見つけるという受動的要素により生み出され、
それによる色構成と有機的なグラフィックシェイプの合成にて抽象的表現をされている。
そこに映し出される事象物は、カザマ自身が圧倒されるほどに混沌と不思議を受ける自然と生物の営みである。
我々を含めた全てが、環境や意志、そしてDNAによってココに在り有機合成され、互いに作用している。
その意図せずに成り立つ全ての存在がおもしろく、砂浜に残る足跡のように美しい。
正しい答えを知ることより、シンプルに尋ねることに重きを置き、"stop making things : 簡素で抽象的な"を製作している。
Naomi KAZAMA - Artist
Naomi was born in Kamakura, Japan. In 1993, he moved to San Diego, California.
There, he met Shepard Fairey, and learned silkscreening from him.
In 1998, back in Japan, he began doing experimental art projects, by posting art on the streets etc.
During this time, he started his gallery, the "Dyezu Experiment Gallery" in Nakameguro, Tokyo,
and he also worked in New York as a member of Barnstormers, a painting collaborative.
Throughout his years in art, instead of trying to find a right answer, he is always more interested in simply
and continuing to create art inspired by this curiosity.
In 2010, he started a silkscreen unit, called "STRANGE," which creates shirts exclusively with organic cotton
and recycled materials, and he started so called "I swear program" which simply promising to give
his works onto organic or and less harm to the environment products,
hoping to spread the positive affirmation "YES" to the world.

ROMON KIMIN YANG
1971年 韓国・テグ市生まれ、ニューヨーク・ブルックリン在住。
ロモン・キミン・ヤンは、「ロスター」の名で活動する複数の専門性を持つペインター・映像作家であり、現在はニューヨーク・ブルックリンに居を構えて活動している。
母校である The School of Visual Arts では、実験性の高いグラフィックデザインとプリント制作を学び、当時はグラフィック／アートの境界線にこだわることなく制作していたという。
ロスターのペインティングの中では、カラフルな図形やトーテム信仰に見られるようなアイコンを描いた作品、白黒の能筆画などが代表的で、キャラクターや図形のエネルギーとダイナミズムを表現する "Graphysics" というコンセプトを掲げ、自発的で自由なスタイルと手法・様式を追求している。
ロスターは1999年に立ち上げられた40人規模のアートコレクティブ "Barnstormers" の創設メンバーの１人としても、国内外で多くの展示企画に出品。また世界中の美術館やギャラリーを巡回した大規模なストリートアート展 "Beautiful Losers" にも参加した。
2010年には45分間の映像作品 "Kill The Ego" を発表、フランスの Pompidou Centre と Fondation Vasarely のほか、Venice Short Film Festival でも上映された。またロスターの作品批評は Artforum、Modern Painters、The New York Times、The Village Voice、Libérationなどに掲載されている。

Romon Kimin Yang aka Rostarr is a multi-disciplinary artist, painter and filmmaker living and working in Brooklyn, New York. A graduate of The School of Visual Arts where he studied experimental graphic design and printmaking, Early in his career he managed to produce work in both the art and graphic design spheres, blurring the lines between the two. As a painter he is more widely known for his colorful abstract polymorphic paintings, totemic iconographic characters and mostly black & white calligraphic drawings. Always creating in a freeform and spontaneous manner, he is continually striving to find freedom within style, medium and form, while building upon the visual language he terms “Graphysics”, a word that exemplifies the energy and geometric dynamism characteristic in his work. Rostarr is also a founding member of the artist collective Barnstormers, a collective established in 1999 of approximately 40 artists and has participated in solo and group exhibitions on both a national and international level, also extensively as part of the esteemed “Beautiful Losers” show which has toured museums and contemporary art centers worldwide.
In 2010, his 45 minute motion painting film with Soundwalk, entitled “Kill The Ego” was shown at the Pompidou Centre in Paris, Fondation Vasarely in France and at 2010 Venice Short Film Festival.
His artwork has been reviewed in Artforum, Modern Painters, The New York Times, The Village Voice, and Libération among other publications.

東京都出身 アーティスト
壁画制作を中心に国内外で活動中。
豊かな色彩と優美なバランス 移り変わる心の景色を直感的に色と形で表現し、シンメトリーに描き出す。
彼女の中にある様々な両極の存在や矛盾を単純化させ、シンプルでバランスのとれた一つの形に表現することは彼女自身の生き方のテーマであり、その願いが純粋な結晶となり作品として表現されています。
近年ではパートナーKAMIと共にHITOTZUKIとして多くの壁画作品を残している。

1970年、サウスカロライナ州チャールストン生まれ。89年にロードアイランド州プロビデンスの Rhode Island School of Design で美術学士（BFA）を取得。在学中に、のちの "OBEY GIANT" のキャンペーンにつながる往年の人気プロレスラー、アンドレ・ザ・ジャイアントをモチーフにした作品を制作した。フェアリーが生み出すイメージは、アートと都市の風景に対する人々の視点を更新し、2008年の米国大統領選に出馬したバラック・オバマ候補の肖像画 "HOPE" に代表されるその作品群は大きな称賛を浴びている。
フェアリーは、公共空間で継続的に作品を発表しながら世界中の美術館やギャラリーにも出品。フェアリーの作品はニューヨーク近代美術館（MoMA）、英国のヴィクトリア＆アルバート美術館、ボストン近代美術館、スミソニアン国立肖像画美術館などに所蔵されている。
Shepard Fairey was born in Charleston, SC in 1970. He received his B.F.A. at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in Providence. In 1989, while attending RISD he created iconic the “Andre the Giant has a Posse” image that ignited and evolved into the present day OBEY GIANT campaign. Fairey’s imagery has changed the way people view art as well as the urban landscape, and his paintings have develop into an acclaimed body of art, which most notably includes the 2008 "Hope" portrait of Barack Obama.
Fairey has exhibited in galleries and museums all around the world, with an accompanying collection of outdoor public murals. His works are in the permanent collections of the MOMA, Victoria and Albert Museum, Boston ICA, Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery and many others.
Manifesto:
The Obey campaign can be explained as an experiment in Phenomenology. The first aim of Phenomenology is to reawaken a sense of wonder about one's environment. The Obey campaign attempts to stimulate curiosity and bring people to question both the campaign and their relationship with their surroundings. Because people are not used to seeing advertisements or propaganda for which the motive is not obvious, frequent and novel encounters with Obey propaganda provoke thought and possible frustration, nevertheless revitalizing the viewer's perception and attention to detail. The medium is the message.

渋谷ゆり / 1976年、東京生まれ、ニューヨーク在住。
いつの間にか忘れてしまっていた感覚。
太陽を浴びた石の温かさや水分をいっぱい含んだ土の柔らかさ。
誰かと時間を共有することの楽しさ。
言葉でうまく表現できないそんな心地よさが、
きっと今、自分が一番心を動かされ、表現したいことなのかもしれない。
90年代後半からニューヨークのスケートカルチャーや、世界各地を旅しながらのその土地の文化を撮り続けている。作品の多くは手作りのZINEを通して発表し続け、Art By Xeroxから８年近くサポートされていた。最近は
新しいプロジェクトのために西海岸に通い続けている。

〜スユアの波の女神さま "Mayan Goddess returns via Wave of Suvuya"
１５年前に描いた女神さまと再会しに日本へ帰る。
'９７年に発売されたユーミン（松任谷由実さん）の『スユアの波』のアルバムカバーのために、
２mを超える木のサーフボードに女神を描いたことがある。
アルバムタイトルのスユア（ZUVUYA）とは古代マヤの秘法、時空を超える波だそうだ。
その「時空の波を超えるためのサーフボード」を、むかし、描いた。
２０１２年、マヤ歴が終るのが１２月２２日前後と言われている。
その直前に、予想もしなかったなんとも不思議な機会が訪れた。
Experimental Art Surf Shopというグループショウに'よみがえり参加'
この女神のサーフボード、一般への御開帳は本邦初になる。
時空を超えたご縁に感謝。
はじめに、プロデューサーである松任谷正隆氏から"青春"と"女神"というコンセプトを伝えられた。
いくつになっても時空を超える波に乗って自分の中の青春とつながれる。
そして女神とは「ここ一番の大勝負に賭ける男を守る女」のメタフォーでもあると。
わたしはその女神を踊りながら、一心不乱にすきな男の子を想って描いた記憶がある。
でも、途中からわたし個人の気持ちを超えて、宇宙の女神性という光によって、
はじめて'描かされた'経験をしたのがこの女神の絵だった。
「誰かのために描く絵」と「自分のために描く絵」
絵と自分との、大きな過渡期でもあった。
昔の、しかも１５年も前の自分の作品と向き合うことは、過去の自分に「ひさしぶり」と挨拶するようで照れくさい。
筆の跡、絵の具のにじみ、木の感触、眠っていた匂い、物質的な想い出に触れることができる。
そのときの未熟な幼なさも見るだろうし、無邪気な勢いも見るだろう。
愛おしい。
時間軸を超え自分軸を確認するための、このうえないご褒美だ。
あれからたくさんの時がたって、いろいろな青春の経験をした。
この女神は、わたしが１５年分の青春を経験し、かえってくるのを待っていてくれたのか。
翻弄されるたび、自身の'女神性'に問いをかけ、その答えが自分を鍛えてくれたように思う。
それはすべての女性がもっている、菩薩的な、マッチョを超えた、強さである。
女性は子供を産まなくても母性という蘇生力をもっている。
美しく、やさしい生命力である。
青春〜ブルックリンのBarnstormers と中目黒の大図実験という青春の記録。
このグループ展は人種を越え、時空も超えて青春を分かち合う仲間たちの証明である。
しかも、そこに、もちろん、ユーミン。
女神さまは'今'のわたしになんと語りかけてくるだろう。
このアセンションとやらを目前にして。
「男性性も大事よ」と言われるかな。
「おかえり」と言ってくれるかな。
ことごとく、個人的に、たのしみ。
女神の前で座禅でも組むか。

アーティストがコラボレーションする板のベースを提供してくださったボードメーカー 。
KATSU KAWAMINAMI SURFBOARDS
１９７９年にシェイパー川南 活によって設立されたサーフボードブランド。
川南 活が得意とする南の島のサンゴ礁にくだけるチューブを巻く波にフィットするサーフボードから、
生まれ育った湘南の波にフィットするサーフボードまで、多種多様にわたりオリジナリティ溢れるサーフボードを作り出す。
サーフボードのスピードとカラーリングの美しさには定評がある。
１９５１年、鎌倉 稲村ケ崎生まれ。 １９６０年代に自宅前のビーチでサーフィンを始める。
湘南のサーフィンスタイルのルーツを創り出したサーファーの１人。
７０年代はチューブを巻く波を求め、南の島の大学に遊学。 数年後さらに波を求め、ブラジル、メキシコ、カリフォルニア、
ハワイ、ミクロネシアの島々、インドネシア、ベトナム、モルジブを旅する。
１９７５年に開催された沖縄海洋博ではサーフィンのアンバサダーを務め、７９年には日本で自らの名前を冠した
サーフボードブランドを設立するが、島の波が忘れられず再び国外脱出。 素潜り漁や住んでいた南の国から日本へ
ヨットで帰国するなどサーフィンのみならず常に海との関わり合いを持ち続けて来た。
２００２年に住んでいた南の島の家を台風で吹き飛ばされ帰国。
現在は生まれ育った鎌倉、稲村ケ崎の自宅に暮らし、自らのペースの元にサーフボードをシェイプしている。
今回のE.A.S.S.ではKATSU KAWAMINAMI SURF BOARDSの数あるモデルの内から４本を選び、
アーティストとのコラボレーションしたボードを展示いたします。
I was born in Kamakura, Japan. and from the time I was very small I loved the ocean and spent many hours at the beach.
I started surfing in the 60's at my homebreak of Inamura which was pretty much right in front of my house.
I don't know how many times my mother tried to save my butt from the teachers who wanted to kick me out of school because
I was always skipping class to surf. (Thanks Mom!)
As soon as I graduated from high school I started to travel. My first stop and the place I still consider my home away from home
is the Western Pacific Island of Guahan. The ocean on Guahan is beautiful and you can live a quiet island life not too far from Japan.
I've surfed all over the Pacific (from Mexico to Hawaii and in Micronesia from Guahan to Pohnpei), Asia (Indonesia toVietnam),
Brazil, France and the Maldives. My favorite places that I go back as often as I can are Guahan where the surf is like Tahiti with
shallow reef breaks that are fast and tubular, and Guethary France because you can surf and eat really well.
My philosophy of surf is to always keep the wave in my soul.
And my philosophy of life is to live in peace with my fellow humans and animal friends.

2006年 深雪で遊ぶ木の板が、五明 淳によって、ハンドシェイプされ、『雪板』と名付けられ、カテゴリー化された。
昔のスノーボードのように足を固定せずにバランス感覚だけで木の板に乗り、深雪を滑る。
このシンプルですばらしい遊びを広げるため、２００９年 芽育雪板(MAKE YUKIITA)を設立。
ワークショップを開催し、作って乗る楽しさを伝えながら、コンディションに合った板を選べるよう研究を重ね、滑走し、様々な板を作り続け、
子供の雪板や個性的な雪板からオーダーメイドの雪板まで手がけている。

Atsushi GOMYO
１９７８年 長野出身
長野市生まれ、子供の頃からスケートボードやスノーボードをして育つ。
skateライクな動きにもハマりつつも、FREERIDEが好きで１９９７年から雪山を求め、
ニュージーランドへ１０シーズンほど通い、カナダ、アメリカ、チリ、アルゼンチンや国内などを旅しながら、滑り続ける。
2004年よりGENTEMSTICKライダーとして活躍。GENTEMSTICK、自身のモデル「INFINITY A24 hi-way」,
「 SNOW SURF PHENOMENA 142 」のデザイン手がける。
今までの経験から"雪板"が想像され、シェイプし始める。
MAKE雪板ワークショップを各地で開催し、"雪板"のシェイプや"SNOWTOYS",
SNOWSKATE、SKATEBOARDのクルーズデッキなどを作りながら、ライディングを続けている。
今回のE.A.S.S.ではこの雪板のブランクスを使用し、東京から６人のアーティストが自由にアウトラインをとり、
アートをコラボレーションした物を展示致します。

とは１９６８年に起こったパリ５月革命で学生たちが手作りして、街に貼ったポスターの一つに書かれた言葉。
すなわち美とはすでに日常に存在し、われわれ庶民のものであるということ。
個人的には何かの情報に影響されるのではなく、個人の観点でもっとアートと触れてもらいたい！
と思い、このタイトルをつけました。

VON!AZINE - 絵図本
大図実験(元G.A.S EXPERIMENT! )は、2001年、デザインと作業場を兼ねたオフィス・スペースを探していたNAOMI(SOUTH)とKSKが、「建物が取り壊されるまでは内装を自由に改造してもよい」という条件付きの賃貸物件を見つけたことから始まった。
東京、中目黒に、突如オープンしたこのスペースは、 2005年6月に建物の取り壊しとともにクローズするまでに多くのアーティストの作品をプレゼンテーションできる場として有効的に利用され発信し続けた。
KAMIをはじめ、SASU、Diskah、zys、David Ellis、Dose Green、ESOW、Keji Hirata、Mike Ming、などなど多彩な面々のアートワークはもちろん、その周辺でなされた良質のコミュニケーションが生き生きと収録され、"治外法権"のもとに成立した大図実験だからこそ繰り広げれたクリエイションが詰まっている。「VON!AZINE」はそんな絵本仕立ての実験結果レポートだ。

パードン木村
1964年東京生まれ。
1999年ヤン富田 TSUNAMI SOUND CONSTRUCTION より『Locals』でデビュー。
2001年2作目『OCEAN SURFER COOL DAD BUILDING SHOPSURFBOARDS』 『Frozen Hawaii』
2002年リトル・テンポ の土生＜ティコ＞剛と『Ticpa Stylee』
DJ QUIETSTORMとの共作『PARDON TROUBLE』
2004年3作目『SILLY WAKE』をパーソ ナルサラウンドテクノロジー（PST)録音で発表。
2005年KILLER BONGとの共作『KILLER PARDONG』
ソロ活動の他にHONZI、HAKASE-Sun、スパンクハッピー、菊地成孔、野宮真貴、宇川直宏、テ イトウワ、一十三十一、UA、大友良英の作品に参加。
映像作家 Zach Liebermanとのコラボレーション『Drawn』は第10回文化庁メディア芸術祭の優秀作品として紹介される。
プロデュース、レコーディングエンジニアとして、Keison、与世山澄子 、今野英明、マイク眞木meets 高田 漣、Kazz、Peace-K、児玉奈央など。
映画の音響効果として、『パンドラの匣』『アトムの足音が聞こえる』冨永昌敬監督など。
菊地成孔DUB SPTETのメンバーとしても活動中。
2012年11月に8年ぶりのアルバム『G.E.P good enough pocket』がリリースされる。

AKIRA ISHII
石井亮
東京生まれ
1986年FMラジオをはじめとする音声メディアで選曲家、演出家として活動をスタート、翌87年にはDJも始め、都内各クラブでハウスミュージックを中心にプレイする。今や伝説となった衛星放送ST.GIGAをはじめ、99年にはJ-WAVEで、様々なDJを迎えたミックスショーFREE FORMを制作，自らも出演。この時期より選曲のスタイルもよりFREEな方向にシフト。近年はJ-WAVEで、GILLES PETERSONのWORLDWIDEの日本ヴァージョンクラブを7年に渡って制作。また土曜午後のワイド番組360°(スリーシックスティ)を手がけ、その選曲も高く評価されている。
クラブのみならず、CAFE、BAR、LOUNGE、HOTEL等音楽が必要とされるあらゆる場所で活動し、アンビエントから、ワールドミュージック、ジャズ、アブストラクトなものまで、ラジオとクラブでの経験を生かした独自の視点でセレクトするスタイルはポップでありながらもディープである。
2012年10月からは、J-WAVE RENDEZ-VOUS水曜日を担当。
